Springfield 1911 Mags

Does Springfield make a good 1911 magazine? I need some more magazines for my Colt and in my little town the shop only sells Springfields (they only sell mags for handguns they also sell). Thanks in advance for input/experiences!


I know mags are vital in 1911s shooting reliably.

Yeah, I've heard Wilson and Chip make the best. But how is Springfield...all I can get here at the moment! Right now I just have the one factory colt mag.

My personal experience is that the SA mags work very well. Also bght some no-name el cheapos from Cheaper Than Dirt for $7.50 and both have been flawless in my SA 1911. No designer mags for me.

For the most part Springfield uses Metalforms. The mags are good to go.
