Spring has arrived at Maine range!

After returning from a two-week visit with family in NC, SC, and GA, I finally got to shoot at the Capitol City R&P Multi-Purpose (centerfire) range. Many of you folks have probably been comfortably shooting outside for a while, but to us it seemed like cows, finally let out of the barn after a very long winter.

Although the road cable was still up for that range, due to lingering frost in a few spots, we managed to carry in a bunch of rifles, swinger targets, and other gear. It was shirt-sleeve weather, with temps near 70* and mild wind, (at least when we got there).

I brought my .223 Rem, 700 LV SS Fluted; .243 Win, Tikka T3 Lite; and new .270 Win, Rem 700 CDL SS, FL. My shooting buddy brought his .223 Rem 700.

After checking zeros on paper, the new swingers, set at 200 yards, were really fun to shoot, making satisfying rings and bullet fragments kicking up dust. All were well-sighted-in, and really fun to shoot.
