Spr scope

Ok so let's say you have an awesome spr, any apr you wish in 5.56. I don't care what brand, you can pick whichever you want. Which zoom choice would you prefer, 1.8-10x or 4-16x and why?

Let's say the price of the 2 scopes are equal and they are whatever brand you want them to be. They come with all the same features and are both first focal plane. I really don't want, "you should get (name brand scope) whatever in (blank-blank) zoom." I just really to prefer to know of the 2 listed, which is better or which would you prefer. Thank you for your feedback.

I would probably go with the 1.8-10. I feel having too much magnification on the low end handicaps me more than not having an extreme high end. If all I ever anticipated were long shots though, I'd probably feel good about a 4-16.
