Saw the weekend add for Sports Authority and they have the Mossberg Marerick Rifle on sale for $179. They come in .243, .270, and 30-06. I purchased the .270 2 months ago when they were on sale for my son. No bells and whistles, just a plain bolt action with an internal mag. My 13yo son and I both shot it and it's pretty accurate with him getting 1 1/2" groups at 100 yards. Kicks a little more, but it's a light rifle.
I would give it a 6 out of 10. Not great, not poorly made. Just does what it's supposed to do-shoots
