Speaking of HiPowers....

I notice some interest about Hi-Powers on this board.

I would like to get my old Inglis HP set up
for IDPA/carry.

It's currently at the 'smith getting a fiber
optic front sight and a wider rear notch.
I have removed the mag disconnector
to lighten the trigger-( I know about the
potential liability problems).

The problem is, the trigger pull is still at
nine to ten pounds. The gunsmith I use is
a master with the 1911. He professes no
knowledge with the Browning.

Should I learn to live with the heavier pull?

Or, is an Inglis made HP worth the expense
as a base gun to have further smithing done?

Sport,
I don't know squat about the Inglis, but you might email your inquiry to Mike O'Hara at ocg1911@aol.com he could probably give you the straight scoop. He does 1911's. HP's, & Colt revolvers as far as I know. Don't know what all else he works on.
Best,
