Spare gun or is spare parts good enough?

I'm taking a few Carbine classes this year, but I'm too poor to buy another Carbine for training. I'd have to bring a different caliber carbine which would bring in other issues.

I was thinking about getting the parts to fill one of these since the chances of me breaking something else besides the parts that could fit in this are slim.

What do you guys think of these

Parts you may need in addition to those mentioned are trigger cross pins, an extractor and an ejector. Take them in baggies inside your tool kit that you will be taking. You see so many guys with loads of zippered pouches, tactical bags, etc, that never seem to understand how to travel light.
