So whats the new "skinny" on winchester?

just wanting to know if anyone herd anything. did the sale go threw? if so when will they start making guns again?

their defender/1300 design is not the FN police (same SG, 2x+ the price)
their SX2 is now the FN SLP (same gun, made 'tactical')

guess they just licensed out/sold their design?

wonder if their stuff will go up or down in value... prolly up imo. What a classic name/history/American Icon imo

I had read in one of the FFL mags I get, that from now on all US Repeating Arms/Winchesters will be made outside of the USA. hpg

That's still up in the air. At the time the plant closed, that's the way it looked, but there's still the possibility of a buyer that could re-open a US plant.

FNH (Fabrique National-Herstal) owns the Winchester name and will continue to produce a limited number of bolt guns and shotguns in Belgium, Portugal and Japan.

FNH does not own the Winchester name/brand. It's owned by Olin, who makes the Winchester brand ammo & licenses the name to USRAC/Winchester.
