Simple scope mounting gone wrong.

I'm stuck in a rut. So its time to try to dig my self out.

I finally got all my parts together for Scope installation then goofed up. Mounting a TPS 1-piece XP Tactical Picatinny style 20 MOA rail. I might have it on backwards. It has a lip on the bottom to act as a stop to assure rail not to move during recoil. I mounted it with pressure forward so to use the stop to the forward part of the breach.

Then when installing the Seekins Precision 30mm rings I mixed the caps. They are installed but not sure if I put them in the proper orientation. I just took a crap shoot.

Where do I go from here?

Can some understand where I am in the rut and throw me a shovel to dig my self out.

Contact Seekins Precision then ask them.

The back end of most rails is thicker because the receiver bridge top is lower than the front receiver ring.

As long as both ring's screw heads are on the same side, that should be fine.

Thanks for the reply Bart.

For the rail I put forward pressure when installing. Also the ramp is high in the rear. Seekins must be out for the day. That is understandable. I tried to contact them early this morning.

I received info from Seekins Precision.

The top caps can be mixed and matched it is only the bases that are serialized pairs. caps are connect with a screw leaving a gap The screw tension eliminates any possible deviation if there was one to get them positioned correctly if there was one.

That's the report

Sounds a bit complicated for me. So ill just run with it.
