Simmons® Master Series™ 3.9x40 mm ProHunter® Hows this scope?

Optically they aren't bad for a cheap Chinese scope but they are very lightly built. You'd be much better served with a Weaver V9 3-9x38 for around $150 or a Weaver V10 2-10x38 for about $180, or even better a Nikon Team Primos for around $210. These are scopes that aren't going to die on you after a year and have good to excellent optics.

If those are too expensive consider fixed power. A Weaver K4 4x38 can be had for $126 shipped. Good scopes. There are quite a few old timers on here that swear by them.

I have a few Simmons

I have a couple of these: PROHUNTER MASTER 6-21X44MM, MIL DOT RETICLE, SIDE FOCUS scopes on my p-dog rifles. I don't usually buy high-dollar scopes to compare but, these scopes have done quite well for me.
