sight adjustment tool

Best I can tell, there are two types/methodologies.

First is chucking up a slide and using a drift, tapping the sight, moving it a random amount.

Second is a tool that clamps on the slide and then using a threaded arbor, engage the sight and control movement by thread pitch.

In the case of the second methodology, are the tools that do this all model specific? Is there not a generic or universal version?

I've found them for, SKS/AK, 1911, XDm, Glock ...

Hesco Mepro-Sight. They claim it does all. Check out Brownell's. If anyone has a do-all sight pusher, it's them money draining tool sellers. Bless them. :D

The first method doesn't need to be random. You can use dial calipers to measure the location of the sight before, then move it a set amount. This works well with calculations for determining how far you need to more your sight.
