Sig sight height

Can someone tell me which REAR sight is higher...#6 or #8?

I've concluded that my older 220 is shooting low, having used a sandbag and bench. Both sights are #8.

Thanks.

It's shooting about 4-6" low at 15 yards with all ammo I've tried. So I'm to understand a #6 front sight will raise the POI?

No, on the #6 front sight raising the POI from where it is with the #8.
SIG's rule is: "'NUMBERS UP, IMPACT UP; NUMBERS DOWN, IMPACT DOWN”. This is true whether it concerns the front or rear sights."
You will probably need to change both sights to effect that much correction. The rear sight makes a 2" change between consecutive numbers and the front a 1" change. A number 10 rear and 9 front should bring up the impact five inches at 25 yards from your current 8/8, but I would try just the rear first.
