I have been looking to replace the barrel of my Sig P6. I can't seem to find any on the Internet or local shops in my area. Does anyone have any ideas as to why? Import restrictions? Manufacturer issues?

Since the gun is out of production, there may not be a large enough market to produce barrels for them any longer. I do know of a gunsmith that will convert a P226 barrel to one for the P6 if you can supply the barrel. He will either cut it down to the proper length or will thread it for you. I have one that is threaded from him for mine. This may be the quickest way to get a barrel for yours.

IIRC the p225 and p6 are the same pistol. If you can find a p225 barrel it will work.
This is correct, P6 was the German police designation for the pistol. EFK Firedragon still makes barrels for the P225/P6, but Sig is either not manufacturing or importing barrels for that model anymore.
