Sig P230 and Hollow Points

Has anyone had any experience with the P230 and shooting Hollow Points, specifically Speer Gold Dots? Any feeding issues, or FTF/FTE's specifically?

I've used Georgia Arms 'Gold Dots' in mine with no

problem at all. Spear's gold dots should not be a problem either.

But then the ballistic geeks suggest fmj for the 380 in the Winter time.

In the winter? Higher air density make that much of a difference?

Not air density but more clothes. FMJ would prenetrate heavy clothing better.

Any link available that shows a difference in penetration between fmj and hp in the .380?

No problem in my P232 with feeding any hp rounds, sorry don't have a p230.

I don't have a link but quite a few tests done on HP/FMJ. The big thing is the hollow point fills up with material and acts like a FMJ so FMJ's being cheaper go with FMJ"s.
Some of the more expensive defensive HP is suppose to over come this problem.
