Sig P228 (9) or P229 (.40/.357 Sig)?

I've already got the P229 in .40 and .357 Sig and am in the "simplifying life" mode. Does it make sense at all to trade it in for a P228 (9mm) which I've never shot. It'll more than likely only see range time unless NJ gets a provision for lawful concealed carry or if I move to PA (which is possible).

better than trading it, buy a Barsto conversion barrel for 9mm and then you can shoot 3 calibers with one pistol. How is that for simplifying things in your life??

From My Sig Collection-

I have owned the P220, P226, P228, and P229. The two
that I still own, and feel most comfortable with are of
course the .45 caliber P220, and the 9m/m P228. I did
not care for the "European" grip angle of the P226;
and the "short" grip of the more powerful .40 caliber
P229. And, I'm not a big fan of the .40 caliber anyway;
having also discarded Glock models 23 and 27, in favor
of the P220 and the P228.

The Sig P229 feels "top heavy" with its milled stainless
steel slide; while the "sheet metal' slide of the P228
causes the latter to balance perfectly. Just my opinion.
Let me knock on some wood, cuz I've never had any
problems with a Sig-Sauer handgun!:cool: :D :)

Best Wishes,

I have a beautiful 228, but I am going through the same debate. I would like a .40/.357 229, but i dont want to give up my 228.
