Hey Microgunner,,,

Congrats on your buy.

I'm going to eagerly await a range report from you,,,
I'm intrigued by the concept of converting a .22 to a centerfire,,,
That's backwards from the norm but in a strange way of thinking it makes sense.

If you get a moment give us your experience shooting the .22 Classic,,,
I have a CZ-75B Kadet in .22 LR that I truly love to shoot,,,
Something about a full size/weight .22 pistol,,,
Makes my Ruger 22/45 feel like a toy.

aaron, I purchased the .22 Classic first then converted to centerfire because that way cost $51 less than the P226 .357SIG alone. The conversion comes with SIG night sights and one mag. So two calibers for less than the price of one. Same exact parts. Go figure.

The .22 Classic was a little stiff and reliably challenged at first until I lapped the slide. Now it is very reliable and accuracy is reasonable for a combat piece. 2" groups @10 yards offhand.

PS I also own a CZ75 Kadet and the Kadet has the edge in "feel" since the SIG P226 22 Classic uses an aluminum slide.

Thats looking sexier than my Skeeter. :)

Do both slides have night sights, and what are they getting for the 9mm?

The .357SIG, as well as the 9mm and 40S&W uppers, have night sights and the .22lr upper has adjustable 3 dot target sights.

All (3) centerfire conversions for the P226 cost the same, in my case (wholesale,we're an FFL dealer) $264.00.
