Looked at a Sig ar15 and it felt real nice. Wondering how they compare to Bushmaster and Colt, (the one I looked at was priced right between them.) Any reviews would be appreciated.
I can't give you a review but will point out that the Sig 516 (AR style) has a gas piston operating system rather than the traditional direct impingement system of ARs. I don't feel qualified to discuss the theoretical advantages of the piston design vs. the proven direct design for ARs. Maybe someone else can chime in.
I saw one at Wal Mart, and read about them online. They are called the M-400 and look interesting. I have a Colt 6920 and was thinking of getting a SIG as a second. If I do, I'll give a full range report.
