The top photo is ONE prototype of a proposed 3 models...They are getting a lot of feedback and opinions right now, so look for some aspects to change.
Not a lot of folks want the raised rail...and they want the dioptor rear sight back. for instance....lots of complaints on the AR15 stock as well. But SIG says the 550 side folder will still fit, and SIG 550 handguards/old style pistol grip will as well.
Impact guns is another place that started taking preorders for them this week @1299.00 + shipping. I took the leap of faith and put in for one.

Yep. I don't know about anyone else, but the fact that this is the first time in a long while that we have some real choices besides the AR excites the hell out of me. I can't wait to get mine in!! 
I would look for a chit-load of aftermarket accessories for it as well.
