shooting.....

I thought id get a little shooting in today before the move starts,,,so I just took a old beater ss commander to the range and putt some of the left over reloads I had through it.......I need to replace that trigger, just isnt crisp enuf. All in all did ok for an ole blind man,.......I had the opportunity to shoot a keltec with the clip attached, the pistol has a lot of stacking on the trigger stroke and this particular one had a pin backing out of the trigger which would cause the trigger not to reset, accuracy wasnt all that hot, but it wasnt bad either, and the pistol was controllable in 9mm, if I was convinced of its reliability it might make a real good carry pistola......fubsy.

...someone musta thought it was christmas and left me an early present of bout 200 44spl cases, and some 357 cases and a bunch of 45acp.........a good way to end the day...fubsy.

I had to edit my original post made a mistake, I shot a keltec and called it a kimber in the original post.....must have kimber on the brain...lol...fubsy.

Did the clip effect the shooting at all? Get in the way of a grip or such?

A clip could replace a lot of expensive leather. Wait - what am I saying?

george,
No it didnt, after looking at it I sorta forgot it was there, it does appear to have a use on a light enuf pistol...shame about that trigger, with those pistols selling for next to nothing they'd be good for spares........fubsy.

Today I went shooting at my great uncle's place.I only brought my Beretta 92 9mm, and about 100rds.From 125yds,slow fire, I was hitting about 6inch groups. :) For me, that is a personal best with that gun. :)I guess that practice thing is starting to work. Anyway, So tell me, how far off am I from keeping up with the big dogs? lol Be nice, I know I still have a ways to go. :)

Bauldy,

The people that I consider "big dogs" shoot rifles at that range, and use a pistol at much more realistic ones.

Rob,
I usually do shoot rifles at that range. My great uncle just wanted to see how good I was at a long range shot with a handgun. This was my chance to impress the teacher. ;) When we both use rifles, He kicks my but everytime. lol Close to Thanksgiving last year, he shot a dear from his back porch at about 300yds with open sights. I can't do that without a scope.lol That was a great shot considering he's almost 80yrs young(yes, I said young) and says his eyesight isn't what it used to be.
