Does S&W have plans to ever release a Shield with either an ambi safety or no safeties at all? I carry a M&P 9c right now but would like to add a Shield to carry every once in a while.

The Kimber Solo has an ambidextrous safety and mag release.
The Walther PPS has no safety.

The Kimber is too finkey and the Walther too narrow for my blood.

To my knowledge, no.

My Kimber has been perfect, even with not recommended 115 grain.
But it has some kick.

If the PPS is too narrow you might as well get a double stack. Maybe a Glock 26 or a Walther P99ASc (compact) which is DA/SA.

I'm carrying a double stack now. The grip of the PPS just didn't feel good in my hand but I have and like other single stacks.
