CLEORA -- A Delaware County man scheduled for a court hearing Thursday on violation of a protective order killed his former wife and then killed himself, authorities said.
Olin Roy Hoover, 44, and Jayne Ida Hoover, 54, both were found dead in the front yard of Jayne Hoover's home on State Highway 85 near Cleora.
Assistant District Attorney John Kelson said preliminary investigation indicates Olin broke into his former wife's home late Wednesday.
He apparently took her .410- gauge shotgun and shot her, Kelson said.
The couple were found Thursday morning by Jayne Hoover's adult daughter, Kelson said.
According to court records, a protective order was filed against Olin in July 2001. The couple divorced in September.
