Second cast.

Well I had my second cast and things went so much better than the first one thanks to a lot of advice I got. I turned the pot up to 800 degrees and added 24" of 95/5 solder. I dip one end of the mold in the melt and leave it until the lead doesn't stick, then I cast twice to bring it up to temp. I throw the first two loads back in to melt. This time I only had three bullets that I wasn't happy with. These are the new ones.

And these were the old ones.

I had about 20 from the first cast that I lubed and kept those. I melted down all of the others from the first cast. I will get these lubed today.

I saw some pictures you'd posted of your smelting setup--I have that same monster propane burner. Got it at Bass Pro Shops a long time ago. It'll dang sure heat up a dutch oven and liquify some wheel weights, won't it?

Boolits look good.

Wait'll you shoot them. It's a great feeling--final cycle of the process of full handloading.

You can say that again. It will make short work of a pot full of WW"s.
