SCORE! What a gift!

A friend of mine yesterday gave me a brand spanking new in box Belding & Mull micrometer tube powder measure.

Looks to have been made in the 1970s judging by the datasheet that was with it.

This thing was so new that the box wasn't even dog eared at the corners, and the crackle paint on the operating handle wasn't scratched. Heck, the cardboard insert holding the handle wasn't even torn until I got a little bit careless last night.

This is more of a speciality tool along the lines benchrest shooters, but I'll put it to use when I'm loading rifle.

What a neat old critter!

There's just not enough Smilies on this site, there's not one for green with envy!:D I guess Mr. green will have to do.

Mike,

While your mulling that measure over, here's something more: All the General Cement cans of that paint I ever bought in the 70's were labeled "Crinkle Paint". It was pretty tough stuff, unless the surface under it was over-flexed. Then it would "crackle". I know that seems like a trifling distinction, but you've got an historical artifact here and we want the provenance records in order. ;)

Congratulations on the find!
