Scope mount for Charles Daly

I got a pretty good deal on a Charles Daly semi-auto in 12 ga. I want to be able to mount a scope on it since it will be used only for turkey and deer hunting. B Square offers a saddle mount for this gun but, Everywhere I check, They are back ordered. I have not been able to locate a Redfield, Aimtech, or Tasco that fits. Question: is there enough metal to drill and tap the receiver on this shotgun??? Also would it be possible to get one of the side mounts for another shotgun and re-drill the holes to line up? Or am I about to get in ( wish I hadn't done that ) land. Maybe someone knows where there is a mount in stock, That would be my choice. Thanks to all

Dear Sir:
I wouldn't mess up my shotgun! I've hunted for 50 years and never found the advantage of sights or scopes on shotguns.

Use the center ridges on the action with the bead front and you will equal the group you will get with a scope - almost!
