Scope adjustment

Quote: "If your scope is 1/4 min. clicks 4 equal 1" at any yards."

WHAT???? Want to explain that?

If 1 click at 100 yds = 1/4", then:
1 click at 400 yds = 1"
1 click at 300 yds = 3/4"
1 click at 200 yds = 1/2"
1 click at 100 yds = 1/4"
1 click at 75 yds = 3/16" (3/4 x 1/4")
1 click at 50 yds = 1/8" (1/2 x 1/4")
1 click at 25 yds = 1/16" (1/4 x 1/4")

The easy way is to shoot, turn the scope adjustment 10 clicks, and shoot again. Then divide the distance between shots by 10 and you see how far one click will move the impact at that distance.

And it all assumes a good scope ring mount job. If your rings are out of alignment and put your scope in a bind, all bets are off.
