Savage stock refinishing..blonde

After several months of looking for a 22-250 with a blonde stock... I decided to refinish one of the factory stocks... Ive had several compliments on them... from back to front.. 270 with factory stained stock,,, 7mm mag with pecan walnut refinish,,, 30.06 with pecan refinish,,, 22-250 with checkering removed and just clear coated blonde stock.... The back one is factory stained and the other three have been refinished by me. Feel free to comment.

Very, Very nice and for the most part, what finish did you use to maintain that nice satin look as well as how many coats did you apply?

the one was stained with pecan, then stained with walnut,,, the other was just one stain of pecan,,the front has no stain.... all three were single coated with spray satin poly.... the satin leaves a much nicer look than gloss.

I love it. I think I might do that to my trusty 30-06.
