Savage/Stevens Choke codes?

Somebody help. The LGS has a 77B pump in awesome shape for $125. The shopkeeper doesn't know the choke. All I can see is one (1) asterisk on the barrel just forward of the receiver. Anybody know WTH that would be?

One for full, two for mod., three for IC.

If you have a dial caliper, you can verify that by measuring at the muzzle and check against this chart
