I did a quick search and couldn't find any info on this one. Anyone have any first hand experience with this package? And any idea what I should expect to pay at a gunshop?

And as for both, would I be better off to just buy the gun and mount my own optics? I'm not sure as to the quality of the Savage/Stevens package optics.

Since we don't know what you are looking for, what you want it for, or even where you plan to use it, it's hard to make comments.

If you are looking for an accurate 22 for plinking and varmints, don't mind a bit of extra weight, and want to mound a scope - look at the MK2 BV with the laminated stock and the accu-trigger.

As to price - you may check Davidsons to get an idea. Typically, you can figure about 15% off of MSRP is typical.
