I need a little more info on this rifle, I do not know the model just yet, but will soon. It is chambered in 243 and I am guessing its the 110 but the odd thing is the seller states the magazine/clip is missing. I am not familiar with Savage rifles enough to know if they built anything, bolt action or otherwise that used a removable clip. I have seen a few 110's but think they were along the lines of the M70/M700 with the latch held floor plate..I beleive...again not that familar with the product line up. Any help appreciated and when I find the model I will post it here. Thanks. Tom

Pictures would help. Savage has had 2 (that I know of) detachable magazines not counting the ones used on the BA line. If there is a button on the side of the stock then its the older style which you can still buy from sites like midwayusa. If it has a latch on the bottom its the newer style which are plentiful.

You may also want to check out Numrich Arms - https://www.gunpartscorp.com/ - At a quick glance at the basic Model 110 they show magazines available. There are also specific schematics for specific models (110B, 110D....). Negotiate the best price, then buy the less expensive mag?

Model 10 more than likely. You can get mags most places that sell gun parts. Midway, Natchez, Brownells etc. Usually $55 - $60.00.

What is he asking for the rifle? If it's cheap it's a hell of a bargain. TomL, all you have to do is,(i cant believe no one has said to try this) call Savage customer service and feed them the serial numbers and BAM mag on the way.... Believe it!!!

It's probably a Model 10. Savage's model numbering system is stange until you get used to it. Basically, the 10 is the short action and the 110 is the long action. However, the Axis/Edge use the same action length for all cartridges.

So, if it's a Model 10, the question becomes is it a stagger feed or a center feed. That makes a difference
