Bought a Savage 12BVSS in 22-250 this weekend. During the initial cleaning, I did not notice that there was any problem due to the fact that I was using a rather loose patch...17-22 cal. There is a Void or a place of excess clearance in the middle of the barrel. I can push a .224 patch, purchased later in the day, down the barrel tightly then in the middle of the barrel, it hits a place where I can move it an inch with two fingers. Looked down the bore and it is too shiny to see any deviation in the rifling. I called Savage and have just sent it back to the factory a couple of hours ago via UPS for evaluation Put a thread earlier, but do not know where it went Anyone had this problem???
