Savage 110 Range Report

Hey-
Finally, FINALLY got a chance to take my Savage 110 .30-06 to the range to sight it in. The rifle's got a swift premiere 6-18x50 scope on it. Fun, fun, fun!

I scanned in a couple of my targets. The groups are OK, although I figure with better ammo and lots of practice they could be better.

Anyway, just thought I'd share with you guys.

What range(distance) were those shot at? Also what ammo were you using?

150 yds. using Federal American Eagle 150 gr and Remington Core Lokt 150 gr.

looks like you were having a good time!

a suggestion, if i may... if you want to try to improve groups w/o spending money, you can work on your technique. one thing that helps me, and may or may not help you, is to try to hit the smaller targets. aiming for that huge center target seems to always make my groups bigger...

at any rate, keep shooting and having fun.

btw, how do you like that swift scope?

I like the Swift a lot. Solidly built and the optics are bright and clear... definitely a quality piece of equipment.

I'll try your suggestion to aim for the smaller targets and see if that helps. Thanks for the input. I'm probably gonna get a sling and learn to shoot with it as well.
