Firepower!

Hi
Does anyone here has any information on Santa Barbara rifles. I have come across a 300 Win. Mag. in this but I am not sure what quality of firearms are produced by Santa Barbara. I will appreciate any leads.

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but the Santa Barbara commercial mauser actions were made in Spain. Parker Hale and some other companies used these actions. Proabably be close to what a Zastava mauser is today for Remington or Charles Daly. IIRC some of them were sporterized military actions as well. From what I know about them they all seem to be decent shooters, nothing fancy just a good solid rifle.

Santa Barbara Mausers were made for commercial sale in a military armory in Spain using the military tooling used to produce the M1943 (Mauser 98) used by the Spanish military. Many were pretty rough, but they are good serviceable rifles. They do have a few quirks of their own, but in general they are a good M98 variant.
