Sample of bullets ?

Do any of the bullet manufacturers offer sample bullets of say 38 spl or 45acp. Such as RN, SWC, HP and also in different weights. It would be nice to try out different ones before making that large order.

Every bullet is a sample.

I always buy my samples in 500 piece boxes. When I'm satisfied with all 500 I buy more. If not I send remainder back.

For initial testing, I usually get the 250 round box of Berry's bullets as I like to try several different powders with start-to-max range load data (BTW, they come in nice reusable plastic bullet boxes they make themselves). Some times, I find that I need to do verifying range tests 2-3 times, so having more bullets definitely helps.

I was very happy with the results I got from the new 9mm 124 gr HBRN bullets so I ordered a box of 115 gr HBRN to test along with 45ACP 185 gr HBRN that has similar nose profile of 230 gr RN.

Jay/Berry's MfG provides great and fast customer service. Maybe he can put together Hollow Base sample packs? (hint, hint)

Missouri Bullet has sample packs(100) but you must order them along with a regular order.

I saved his link with thoughts of trying them but never did so I cant say yea or nay. I thought it would be a great idea when working up a load. If you try them please post and let us know of your experience.
