Evidently, the gold ones are Gold Alloy, the silver is pure silver..... Just thought you might like to see them, sorry if you have seen them before.... they just got me all excited

Personally gold finished firearms aren't for me, except maybe gold inlays or trim like the MP5k, but I don't doubt the advantages of having one finished with gold... but if someone goes through the trouble of making a firearm look all spiffy with gold why not put a decent handle on it? Wouldn't surprise me if Saddam had the gunsmith who overlooked that executed.

My unit went through the process of trying to get a gold plated SVD home. We had Army approval and a museum to sponsor us but some air force (profanity witheld) in customs took it from us.
