S & W refinishing

I got a S & W M-48 in 22 mag today. it is a 4 screw made in 1959 in about 80% condition. it would be nice to get it to the same level of finish as my K-22 & K-38 with are 100%.


has anybody sent a revolver back to S & W lately to be refinished? if so what were the results?

I never have but I know a guy who sent his 25 back to smith to be reblued! All I can say is that the gun is beautiful! They did a real nice job!

I bought a just (factory) refinished 2.5" mod 19 a few months back that absolutely GLOWED in the display case. I was helpless to resist it
Be aware though that it doesn't increase the value of the gun.
