S&W questions

I was looking thru a 2007 S&W catalog and noticed a few things. 1. The model 457 is no longer listed. This is a 45 ACP, 3.5" barrel, one of my favorite 45 ACP for carry. 2. The 908 and 915 models are basically the same price MSRP as the new M&P 9. How can a econo model be the same MSRP as their M&P?
3. Also noticed that the M&P 45 should be out in the spring, this could be good.

Pretty much all firearms manufactures msrp pricing are high. The actually pricing depends on your area.

I prefer the 457 to the M&P. The 457 is a very underated pistol. In fact, I like all the 3rd generation sem-auto's better than the current offerings. I own a 910. While it is a nice pistol, it is definitely a "value line" gun. Asking any more than $350 for one is VERY wishful thinking IMHO. That said, I like the 910 better than the M&P too. As always YMMV. That's sad that S&W discontinued the 457, and make 40 different snub nose revolvers though.............hpg
