I didn't know this existed. It has a dust cover and forward assist. For anyone who was reluctant to buy the sport before because it lacked those two things here you go!! At a semi local gun shop it was $636. Not bad.

I don't really need another but the original sport was my 1st AR and I loved it. Might have to get one and squirrel it away.

I have had my Sport for almost a year now. The only semi-complaint is the price seems to be dropping, and I thought I got a good deal at $528.00. :(

I carried and M-16 in the field in Nam and never found a use for the dust cover or the forward assist. I know others see it differently.

Lamarw, thank you for your service. In fact I would like to thank all vets and active duty for their service.

I highly doubt I would ever need a dustcover or forward assist as my rifles go from my safe straight to the range.

I just thought it was interesting that they offered that now. That new Ruger must've taken a substantial bit of their market share.
