Guns and Ammo's 2006 annual issue pictured a S&W Model 952 auto pistol. Unfortunately it did not have any write-up or any info at all on that pistol. S&W's web site does not list this pistol. Does anyone know anything about this model?

It was supposed to be a 9mm version of the model 52 target pistol which was originally chambered for the .38 spl mid-range wadcutter.

Mine is the smoothest shooting and most accurate 9mm that I own or have shot (that’s allot BTW). The fit and finish is perfect, the trigger is about as good as it gets and the slide feels like it rolls on bearings.

I own a PC945 (which I think of as basically the .45 version of the 952). My 945 rocks (it's my favorite pistol) I would love to get a 952.

952

Gixerman1000's remarks are spot on: that is one smooth firearm. Joy to shoot and super accurate. Enjoy.

Gixerman - nice guns. :) You are obviously a man of taste and refinement. So what else have you got in the gun safe?

My "one hole" group shot offhand at Bass Pro 1/20/06 with Fiocchi 123gr FMJ-TC Ammo at 7 Yds.

Great shooting gun.
