Actually, the -12 is 38 sp. The 357 models are -9 and -14. -9 is pre-lock while the -14 has the lock.

I have the 60-9 snubbie, and it is a pre-lock.The 60-10 was also a pre-lock, but with the 3" barrel. They are both .357 mag.

-9 is a little hard to find, but they are out there. -14's are easy to find. The price has really gone up since last summer.

Yeah, I hear that. I've got a Tarus 605 that I like a lot, but it's not as "smooth" as my Smith's. A J frame snubbie fits my hand and my needs well. I prefer to have the option of .357 even though most of the time it is loaded with .38 spl or +p's. Being a little broke right now I may just have to be satisified with what I already have or find a Ruger Sp101. Either way at this point the Taurus is a keeper, but another snubbie is in my future. No one ever has to many guns, do they?
