S&W Model 37

Can anyone tell me what a S&W Model 37 no dask, pinned barrel in LN but without the box should go for? It doesn’t have original grips but has no holster wear (none) cylinder gap is .004, no end shake, timing is perfect, crown is perfect and the cylinder swings open tight like it is new. It comes with good leather and Pachmayr Grippers.

I'm assuming this could be shot on occasion with +P ammo.

I know the Mod 36 well but not too familiar with the 37. Any thoughts good or bad?

The biggest difference in the 2 models - the model 36 is a steel frame / the model 37 is an alloy frame .... but you probably know that ...

They sell for about the same price as the model 36's ....and in my area --- they're both around $ 400 or so ...

I don't think I'd put +P thru the model 37's ..../ but I'm not a fan of +P ammo anyway ....

i own a model 37 and using plus p thru the timing off the gun should run around $300.the gun still fires well in single action to have it fixed the gunsmith wanted $200 and no guarantees.

Any J-frame will be commanding..

premium dollars. Bought a 37 for 425 last year. Had to detail as it would drop the cylinder, even when turned on the left side.
Nickles plated and "Goldboom" holster.

THe early 37's are NOT recommended for +P ammo. Check with S&W's website, for confirmation.

Nice to carry, a little SNAP on recoil but easily handles.

I think if I buy it I will shoot it with standard pressure stuff. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with standard pressure for carry although the current improved bullet design may make the difference. I'm pretty old school in my thinking. Thanks for your help.
