S&W brass?

S&W offered branded ammo for sale from 1973 to 1981 or so.

S&W purchased Alcan, and I believe contracted with Fiocchi to run the ammunition manufacturing plant in Alton, Ill.

At one time I had several boxes of their shotshells and a couple of boxes of either .38 or .357.

There is some slight collector value to it, with the exception of .32 S&W, which is apparently very scarce and brings very good prices for complete boxes. Boxes of .410 are also very sought after.

Just a note: Browning also made .44 magnum brass. I had 50 empty cases (for handloading, I do not know about loaded ammo.).

Interesting...

I didn't know the S&W production was that old. I have quite a bit of 9x19 with their head stamp; as well as some .45 Auto, .380 Auto, and something else (.357 Mag, I think).

I have a "grab bag" of odd head stamps, for .380 and 9mm. They have everything from S&W, to Browning, to Norma, to Lapua (;)), to Dominion, and anything else you can think of.
