The header kinda says it all. I have a Springfield loaded champion 1911 with night sights and a S&W 1911 with standard novak sights. I was wondering if the sights could be swapped? Anyone know if the cuts/dovetails are the same?
I believe that the Springfield sights are Novak sights as well but I believe that there are low mount and high mount Novak sights. My Springfield Loaded I had were low Novaks. Not sure about the rest of the guns. Hopefully, someone can give you a definitive answer. You can give Brownells a call; they will know. http://www.brownells.com/
I'd guess you won't have any problems swapping one set for the other. I'd suggest looking closely at both guns and if they look the same, attempt to swap them out.
