Hey all,
got it in a horsetrade at the gunshow today. It's a stainless steel 5 shot J frame revolver from S&W, marked 649-3, igt has a 3 inch barrel and it's marked 357 Magnum on the side of the barrel.
It's a shrouded hammer, bodyguard style, with a pinned in front sight blade, really nice looking gun, but I don't remember S&W making them and I've been around guns a LOT...
any info on production, value, etc would greatly be appreciated. I'm going to try to do some internet research and probably contact S&W as well later in the week, but I though I would see if anyone here had information too...

Nevermind, searched and came up with TONS of information, still currently being manufactured and selling for anywhere from 450 to 550 it looks like... silly me, next time I search first and THEN post...
