S&w 642

Hi I'm wanting to buy a S&W model 642 I saw it last night at the gun shop when I went to the range. The price was $375 plus tax but the guy end up coming down to $355 plus tax so $380 out the door and 5 free range uses. So I wanted to know if $355 plus is a good deal for a new 642, or is it a bad deal. I tryed searching but I can't find all the info I wanted to know about it. So I want to hear so opinons on it.

I wouldnt consider that the Deal of the Century, but its about average for a 642 NIB.

While not outstanding, it is a good deal and I would take it (shucks, it's $24 less than what I paid).

I paid 429$ out the door a couple years ago. Guns last forever though, looking back it wouldnt have mattered if I payed 500$ I got what I wanted.

I just bought one a few days ago - local store had a S&W "sale", and it was $369. Usually prices are a lot higher around here than what I see quoted on these forums, so I'd say you did fine, right in the ballpark.

For my neck of the woods that would be a really good deal. About 25-30 $$ cheaper than what I'd have to pay.
