S&W 624 Cylinders Recalled???

Hi all
I have a S&W 624 and was recently told that S&W had a recall on the cylinders because they were not heat treated.
Has anyone on the forums heard about this?

so why not call S & W then you will get the facts first hand?

There was a problem with the very early models. A call to the factory with your serial number will tell you if yours is in the range for inspection ofr not. I have heard that they no longer have replacement cylinders if yours do need one.

Mine was in the Serial # range but tested fine. I understand they have only replaced one as of a month or two ago. Kate is the one to talk with at S&W. Don't have her number but this was discussed at Smithandwesson forums so you may check there.
