S&W 442 Cylinder Issue

Hi all I have a 442-1 that barely has 2 boxes through it. I hadn’t shot it since last year and yesterday pulled it out of my safe to wipe down and oil. I had a pair of pants that was more conducive to pocket carry so I went to load it and the cylinder is very difficult to swing open or close. Almost have to force it. Loaded or not doesn’t matter. I have not dropped it or mis used it to my knowledge. What gives? Anyone else experience this? Thanks.

Clean under the extractor, make sure the ejector rod is tight.

What Pete2 said. My first thought was an ejector rod that had backed itself out. A dab of the non-permanent Lok Tite would help keep it in place.
