S&W 4040PD-Opinions Wanted

I just called my local gunshop to order a 4040PD only to find out S&W discontinued these. I can find a few on gunbroker.com so I can still get one but now I'm wondering why it was dropped after a pretty short run. Were there problems with the Scandium ( sp? ) frame? Other problems? A search here turned up nothing on this gun. I want one but not if they're junk.....all opinions welcome.

I dont think there were any problems at all, they were a limited run. They should be exellent and I believe they were made by Performance Center. Good luck
