I'm looking for some aftermarket rubber grips for my S&W 1917.
Is the grip frame the same size/dimensions as any of the current
S&W revolvers? What would be comprable? Thanks.
Any "N" Frame Square Butt grip would be correct. The gotcha is... the 1917's have quite a bit of variablity in their size. That makes the rubber grips an easy fit and wood grips sometimes fit disapointingly.
If you are interested, I have some Pachmayr's, both Gripper(2) and Presentation(1) style you can have for free. I'd just ask for $5 per grip to cover boxing and shipping.
