S&W 1911's

Picked up two S&W 1911's yesterday. Local dealer said they had picked them up from their distributor. One is a 5 inch Stainless Steel 1911 (SW1911) and the other is a 4 ¼ inch Blue-Black (1911PD) both 45 caliber. I took them to the range and was extremely pleased with their performance. I used the 15 yard range and found both guns were very-very accurate especially the 1911PD. I was curious about one thing though; the stainless 1911 has no S&W logo stamped on the slide. This really doesn’t upset me; because the way it shoots I could care less of what is has on the side of the slide. The frame has SW 1911 stamped on the side and it does have a Picatinny rail but again no S&W logo on slide. It also has night sites too. Looking at the S&W catalogue it appears to be a tactical 1911. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Is this something unusual or since it was sent out on demo, maybe they just didn’t stamp the slide? Two great guns though! I think the 1911PD will be my new concealed carry.
