Rumor or? CA LEO's to not participate in SKS?

Over the weekend I was talking with a couple of LEO's and they were telling me that most of the LEO's in CA were getting together to tell our Attorney General where to stick it. That they were not going to participate in the confiscation of the SKS.

Does anyone have more information on this? Is this true or was I being fed a line?

If true this would sure give me a lot of respect for our LEO's out here.

I know the sheriff in my county is not much interested in collecting firearms. I expect it will be an extremely low priority, like checking bicycles to see if they are licensed. I suppose if AG Lockyear makes a stink, he will be invited to send his own people down to collect them. Or, come himself.

They register bicycles? I suppose you also have to have a "Rider's License", too. Tags, titles...emmisions testing? I would say "only on the left coast", but I'm hardly certain of that anymore. Excuse me, I've got to go bury my "assault bike" now...
