Ruger Sbh .480

Our outdoor pistol range has a 50 yard area for muzzleloaders. They other day a fellow started shooting down there and it had the typical LOUD blast and plumes of smoke. Wasn't a blckpowder gun but a .480. Had the kick to go with the noise,too. What fun !...best....dewey

Hey Dewey. I haven't been on Smith Forum for a while. Are you sure that was an SBH, and not an SRH? If Ruger is offering the 480 in a Super BlackHawk, I would be very tempted. I have heard of some guys getting very close to 475 Linebaugh levels of power with very carefully constructed 480 handloads. Just curious.
